SMS text marketing - the digital marketing channel you've probably never considered

I get one every week from Dominos Pizza, a SMS text notification of the latest deal, new topping or money saving code.

It's strength lies in the fact that like a standard any text message, it arrives straight to the home screen of your mobile phone and this gives it a very high read rate. As with all digital marketing, what's important is that the communication provides value to the consumer, whether its reminding us of a dentist appointment or offering free wine at our favourite restaurant.

SMS marketing is also very much opt-in so you know that the consumer wants to hear from you, provided you deliver that all important value. Pricing is also attractive with a small business package that offers no sign up fee or contract and bundle prices such as 1000 messages for £49. Electric heating specialists choose Webmedia

Electric heating experts Sunflow North chose Webmedia to design and build their new website in October. They needed a brochure website that was clean and contemporary and delivered key messages about the benefits of electric heating. We were able to start work on the project the same day it was commissioned and it was launched live online in record time.

After a number of poor experiences with other website providers the client said "we are delighted with the progress so far and are really excited to be getting the website moving in the right direction finally".

Google launches 'Home'

Google Home is a voice-activated product that brings the Google assistant to any room in your house via a Wi-Fi-connected speaker.

The search giant announced Google Home will retail for around £100 and should be available in the UK before the end of the year.
